Bold Floral Scarf in Indigo
$75.00
The idea for this scarf came from a set of handkerchiefs I made previously. I liked the boldness of the pattern. If I were to do it again, the results probably wouldn't be quite the same as variations seem to appear serendipitously.
I photograph many of my pieces outdoors, as they reflect an aspect of my work space, the seasonal colors, the time of day, the light, the weather and the interaction of the indigo with those changes.
The scarf measures roughly 14 x 72 inches and is a light habotai or China silk. It was manipulated (by hand) in shibori and dyed in my indigo vat.
If it should need cleaning, I recommend hand washing in cold water with soap (Ivory) then line drying out of direct sunlight. Press on a low or silk setting.
